The University has temporarily suspended access to Canvas (including access to Panopto recordings) as a precautionary measure.
This follows notification from Instructure, the third-party supplier of Canvas (through which Panopto recordings and transcripts are also accessed) of two instances of unauthorised access to Canvas. Instructure is investigating and the University is closely monitoring the situation.
There is no indication that University systems or Panopto have been compromised. This incident is understood to impact many Instructure customers worldwide and is not specific to Oxford.
